Why ESD Beneficiaries Resist AI Training (and How to Fix Adoption)
Feb 09, 2026
ESD beneficiaries don’t resist AI because they “don’t get it.” They resist because:
- they’re overloaded
- they’ve been through training that didn’t help
- they don’t trust consultants
- they fear looking foolish
- they worry AI is risky or wrong
If you want adoption, design around these realities.
1) Reduce skepticism with proof, not persuasion
A demo and free intro modules remove the “sales pressure” and allow beneficiaries to experience value directly.
2) Make training about their work, not generic AI
Start with their pain: proposals, follow-ups, marketing output, admin chaos.
3) Produce templates as deliverables
Beneficiaries should leave with something they can reuse next week.
4) Use champions
One person per business must “own” adoption. Without champions, training dies.
5) Create support after the first month
Community support keeps the momentum as real challenges come up.
AIEISA was created specifically to solve this adoption problem: practical workflows + templates + community + de-risked entry.
