AIESIA Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date:
05/01/2026
Applies to: All AIESIA subscriptions and online course memberships purchased via our website, payment links, or integrated checkout partners.

1) Subscription term (12 months)

All AIESIA plans are fixed-term 12-month subscriptions, offered as either:

Monthly billing (12 monthly instalments), or

Annual billing (one upfront annual payment).

This 12-month commitment is clearly disclosed before purchase.

2) What you get immediately

Upon successful payment, you may receive immediate access to AIESIA digital content, training materials, community resources, and/or platform features (the “Services”).

3) No “change of mind” refunds

AIESIA does not offer refunds for:

Change of mind,

Lack of usage,

Incompatibility with your schedule,

Any cancellation request made after the limited exception window below,

Any partial-period or pro-rata refunds on annual payments (unless required by law).

4) Limited exception: errors flagged within 24 hours of first payment

Refunds and reversals will be considered only in special circumstances where an error or omission is reported within 24 hours of the first payment, such as:

Duplicate charge,

Wrong plan charged due to a technical error,

Material checkout/activation failure attributable to AIESIA (e.g., you paid but did not receive access, and we cannot remedy promptly).

If approved, AIESIA may (at its discretion) provide:

A refund of the affected amount, or

A correction (e.g., move you to the correct plan/price and adjust billing).

Requests outside the 24-hour window are not refundable, except where required by law.

5) Cancellations

5.1 Cancelling renewal

You may request cancellation to prevent renewal at the end of the 12-month term:

Your access continues until the end of the current 12-month term (or the last paid period), and

No refunds (or partial) are provided for amounts already paid.

5.2 Early cancellation of a fixed-term agreement

Where the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) applies, a consumer may cancel a fixed-term agreement by giving 20 business days’ written notice.
If early cancellation occurs:

You remain liable for amounts owed up to the cancellation date, and

AIESIA may charge a reasonable cancellation penalty as allowed by the CPA, and will credit any amounts that remain the consumer’s property (where applicable).

AIESIA does not provide refunds for early cancellation except as required by law or under section 4 (24-hour exception).

6) Cooling-off periods (online transactions)

The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA) provides a 7-day cooling-off right for certain electronic transactions for services.
However, ECTA also states that this cooling-off right does not apply to electronic transactions for services that began with the consumer’s consent before the end of that 7-day period.

Because AIESIA typically provides immediate access to digital Services after payment, we may require customers (at checkout) to consent to immediate commencement of Services.

This policy is intended to operate in line with applicable South African law. Where the law grants you rights that cannot be excluded, those rights will apply.

7) How to request a refund or cancellation

Email: [email protected] with:

The email address used to purchase,

Payment date and amount,

Proof of payment / transaction reference,

A clear description of the issue, and

If requesting the 24-hour exception, confirmation of the time the issue was first discovered and reported.

AIESIA may request additional information to verify the transaction and prevent fraud.

8) Chargebacks and fraud prevention

If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting AIESIA to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to:

Suspend access while the dispute is investigated, and

Recover any fees or costs we incur due to fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks, where permitted.

9) Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted on our website is the version that applies at the time of your purchase (unless the update is required by law).
